With the New Year around with its glorious promise of good things to come into our lives, the time has come again to usher in the NEW and learn from the OLD. The time has come again to review. The time has come again to double our efforts. The time has come again to celebrate Aviation. Because the skyline of Aviation was never been better than now.

Named by the British Airways as the 'NEXT BIGGEST AFTER THE US IN THE LONG HAUL MARKET', Indian Aviation is moving at a great speed today. Just three years ago there were only 130 commercial aircraft, and the number has swelled to 350 now. And this growth is expected to continue in the near future. The Govt. of India estimates that India's fleet will reach approximately 500-550 aircraft  by the end of 2010. It is expected that in the same period the domestic market size will cross 60 million and international traffic 20 million.

At present the number of Air Travelers is about 0.8% of the Indian population. And it is growing with great speed. India's Civil Aviation passenger growth at 20% is among the highest in the world. This sector is slated to cruise far ahead of other Asian Giants like China or even strong economies like France and Australia. The number of passengers in India who are expected to be airborne by the year 2020 is a whooping 400million.To carry them on board the country will need 1500 to 2000 aircraft in the next 10 years and more airports, more infrastructure, more trained manpower and better planning to sustain and support the growth. Also we need to implement GAGAN-India's satellite navigation system at a very fast pace to handle the expected growth in Air Traffic and also to integrate the system seamlessly into the satellite navigation systems used by Japan, the European Union and the US.

Certainly the sky is clear for the Indian Aviation and the hearts of all of us are afresh with new determination and new wishes to take Indian Aviation to the highest level. To make more city - airports and airport cities. To contribute to the growth of Air Traffic in Asia and the entire region with better facilities to the valued customers.

So let us ... ..WITH LOT OF SINCERE HARD WORK AHEAD.. BECAUSE WE HAVE MANY PROMISES TO KEEP TO OURSELVES AND THE WORLD AT LARGE.
