August is a special
month for us in India. It was on the 15th of August 1947 India became
finally free from the foreign yoke. That was a long time back, almost a
sixty years. The present generation was born in an Independent India and
never faced the indignity of the time before India was free. A lot of
struggle ,innumerable valuable lives being laid down to the cause of
freedom and dignity has given us what we have today. The honour and
rightful dignity of a free democratic Republic India.
FREEDOM is a very
treasured feeling. But it is time now to contemplate and review
our task as
a NATION BUILDER. Each one of us should review our targets for the nation
and strive to make India one of the best, upcoming and vibrant nation.
In today's scenario
we have achieved a growth rate of 8% in the GDP for the first quarter of
the year 2007 which is encouraging. The CII report advises that the mining
and electricity sectors needed to improve and labour intensive
manufacturing indrusties should get special attention for down the stream
effects all across the country.
In the Aviation
sector India has definitely registered a boom growth. The world all over
has seen a tremendous growth in the low cost air carriers, in the USA,
Australia and European markets. But India and China boasting of being the
most populous countriies in the world could not be left behind. A growth
rate of over 8% has been shown by these countries and Asia at large. There
is a mad rush in LCC Airlines in India, with big players like Kingfisher
Airlines and Air India planning to enter the race. With the focus on
NO-FRILLS ,quick turn around time, choice of secondary low cost airports
,direct internet ticket selling and marketing and doing away with inflight
catering the entire generation of middle class traveller has taken to the
skies. Thanks to the growing affluence, purchasing power and a rapidly
growing economy.
The McKinsey
Consulting Report from New York predict the BOOM GROWTH of medical tourist
in India in the next decade. In the year 2005 about 200,000 foreigners
came to India for medical and Dental treatment ,which is a 15% growth per
year as per CII.
The present is
definitely encouraging. We just need to sit down and plan our strategies
and make action oriented efforts. lets be ready when our fleet of 500
aircaft ordered for delivery arrives in the Indian skies. Lets match the
speed and redesign our airports to contain the present aviation
growth. Lets also concentrate on our weak areas and do something about
it. THE FUTURE IS DEFINITELY OURS. SO, LETS GET IT.
