The Visionary RTO

Aryama Sanyal

Sh. Pawan Arora, the present Regional Transport Officer, Govt. of Rajasthan, India is a man of Vision. His initiative and proactive approach has turned around the regional Transport Office and Motor Vehicle driving License Issuing in the state of Rajasthan and Jaipur.

Under his able stewardship the Transport department of Rajasthan has introduced for the first time 3 touch- screen computer Kiosks where in any applicant of Motor Driving License can apply for the learner's licence and if he or she is able to answer all the random 15 questions asked by the computer on traffic rules and Signals, can obtain a license within a Span of bare fifteen minutes. If the applicant fails to answer the questions asked, the computer generates a notice that the applicant needs to reappear in the exam after a span of seven days.

This has helped the transport department do away with oral tests taken to ascertain whether the applicant for motor driving License was at par with his or her knowledge on traffic rules.

This has ushered in transparency in to the entire process of license issuing and increased the pace of license issuing. The department of JDA, of govt. of Rajasthan had borne the cost of 10 lakh rupees, the cost of three touch screen computer Kiosks at Regional Transport office. Sh. Arora is also taking initiative to set up and introduce a different driving track at Jagatpura, Jaipur where the Transport Department could take all their driving tests.

Sh. Pawan Arora, is certainly a man who believes he can do lot of good to his country and is taking proactive initiative in accomplishing them. We are proud of this able son of Mother India. Keep it Up.
