Bill gates once rightly said that the tourism sector has the highest
development potential
in
this millennium. Almost every country in the world has already realized
the sustainable development possibilities in this sector. India is no exception.
It realized the potential travel and
Tourism offered. In fact, tourism has been one of the major foreign
exchange – earning sectors during the recent past. Hence, last year, this
sector, was given the industry status by the Indian Government and most of
the State Governments in India are giving special emphasis on boosting
tourism industry in whatsoever way they can . Today with the introduction
of
low cost air carriers and Indian Railways competing with the Aviation
Industry and hotels offering their best lucrative packages, the middle
class chunk of the Indian populace has started moving out of the comfort
of their homes and enjoying their holidays with friends and family at
other cities.
Travel
always
broadens the vision and nourishes the mind. It definitely brings growth to
the economy, the people, the relationships among people of different
cultures and different creeds.
There is a
tremendous boost in ideas today in India and the will to do better. The
new generation who wants to compete with the very best surely deserve the
best. Our best wishes to India and the people of India. Let India shine
and be the very best among the rest.
